Hello, miniature enthusiasts! I’m Jillian, the founder of The Upscale Miniaturist. With over 18 years of experience across a variety of creative domains—including makeup artistry, events, marketing, graphic design, sculpting, illustrating, painting, photography, videography, 3D design, and leadership—I've harnessed my skills to thrive in every creative venture I’ve undertaken.

 

Like many of us, my journey into the realm of miniatures began in childhood, but the entrepreneurial aspect took flight about a year ago. My vision? To build the largest library of thoughtfully curated 3D miniature housewares and furniture, perfectly resembling real-life brands for dollhouse aficionados, showcasing the work of some of the miniature world’s finest 3D modeling artists.

 

While many skilled artists create and provide STLs for 3D printing, they don't offer printed items for purchase but without your own 3D printer, accessing these imaginative pieces can be a challenge. While numerous individuals own 3D printers, not everyone enjoys the modeling process; many prefer to print existing designs, while others may not want to invest time to learn this new skill or the nuances with printing and troubleshooting 3D tech. This includes dealing with the complexities, odors and curing times of resin printers or the lengthy processes and challenging support removal associated with FDM printers.

 

That’s where The Upscale Miniaturist steps in—we handle all the work for you! There's no need to purchase a 3D printer if you’re not interested in operating one or if you simply prefer finished and painted pieces. What we do is acquire commercial licenses from various artists, manufacture the items, add the color components and in many cases customize a finished piece ready to be staged in your miniature 1:12 scale world.
